After renting the Downer Theatre from Bridge33 Capital, Milwaukee Film purchased the 111-year-old two-screen cinema on Feb. 27, it announced on Monday.
Milwaukee Film, which runs an annual festival, along with many other events, has operated the Oriental Theatre on a 31-year lease since 2018.
