A group of Madison residents still have questions about a unique redevelopment proposal at the corner of South Park and West Lakeside Streets, a few blocks from SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
The city’s Urban Design Commission conditionally approved the 4-story, mixed-use development at its Feb. 4 meeting, asking Threshold Development Group to work with city staff on a few remaining design matters.
Threshold first brought the proposal before the commission in December. The building would have commercial space on the ground floor and over 50 apartments on the upper floors — a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom units built primarily for residents making 80% of area median income or below…
