Paul Rudd, Evan Peters, Amy Ryan and Paul Giamatti are filming a movie in New Orleans and Chalmette.
The big picture: Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are among the executive producers of the movie, called “The Statement,” Deadline reports.
- The “darkly comic drama” is based on Nathaniel Rich’s book “Losing Earth,“ Deadline says. It’s set at a Florida beachside resort in 1980, when 20 experts gather for a climate change conference.
- Tom McCarthy, known for his work on “Spotlight” and “13 Reasons Why,” is directing.
- The film is hiring background actors through Caballero Casting.
