TULSA, Okla. – One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue on Monday, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Police said just after 12:30 a.m., an officer in the area witnessed the moments leading up to the crash. The officer saw a red GMC SUV near 65th Street traveling at a high rate of speed and attempting to pass other vehicles.
Moments later, the officer saw sparks from electrical lines after the SUV struck a telephone pole near 64th Street. Officers then found the SUV wrecked on the east side of the road…
