Millcreek anime shop robbed of over $4,000 of rare collectibles, police looking for suspect

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Unified Police are searching for a man who robbed a local anime shop of thousands of dollars’ worth of rare collectibles on Friday.

Super Anime Store owner, Kevin Roncancio, told ABC4 that an employee opened up shop on Saturday morning to find approximately $4,000 worth of popular merchandise missing from his Millcreek small business.

“She called us up and said, ‘Hey, has anybody been here in the past couple of hours?’ And we tell her no, obviously, but then we checked the camera, and there happened to be someone that was in here,” Roncancio said.

Security footage of the burglary showed the thief picking the lock to the front door before taking Pokémon cards and Star Wars collectibles like light sabers, helmets and other valuable figures. Items like this can be resold online for thousands at a time…
