MAX Train derailed in Downtown Portland after crash involving car

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A MAX Train has been derailed in Downtown Portland after a crash involving a car on Sunday night, authorities said.

Portland Fire and Rescue said they responded to reports of the collision around 8:30 p.m. near Southwest 11th Avenue and Southwest Morrison Street.

A TriMet service alert at 8:19 p.m. noted that a collision between a train and a car occurred at Galleria/SW 10th Ave.
