KULIOUOU, Hawaii (KHON2) — A three-day tournament meant to reduce invasive fish and promote sustainable seafood wrapped up on Sunday, Mar. 1, at Kuliouou Beach Park.
The ‘Eat the Invaders’ fishing tournament was held over the weekend of Feb. 27 to Mar. 1.
Three types of invasive species were targeted, known to be the Ta’ape, To’au and Roi species.

Today, the community event was held featuring a fish fry prepared by local chefs, along with keiki activities, fish cleaning demonstrations and informational booths.
