Soko Butcher Shop & Market chef-owner Brad Feickert is planning an expansion into Virginia’s Loudoun County and has taken over the former La Taqueria taco shop at 15 Loudoun Street SE in the Leesburg Historic District.
Feickert, who is a Purcellville native, first opened Soko in Takoma Park in 2022 and has since developed a cult following for Soko’s cheesesteaks and deli sandwiches, as well as for high-quality, locally sourced meats, house-made sausages, pastrami, bacon, and bone broths.
Soko’s popular menu items include The Philly, a cheesesteak made with prime rib, caramelized onions, housemade cheese wiz, and mayo on a French roll; The Takoma, a hoagie featuring several Italian meats with olive artichoke tapenade on an Italian roll; and the Smashed Soko burger, with 2 dry-aged beef patties, American cheese, and mayo on a potato bun…
