Acclaimed NYC restaurant group opens first location in Connecticut

Felice Restaurants, a hallmark group of New York City eateries, is expanding into Connecticut with the opening of Felice Westport on Monday.

“Introducing Felice to Connecticut marks an important milestone for us,” said founder and managing director Jacopo Giustiniani in a news release. “As a family-owned and operated restaurant, every opening feels deeply personal. As our longtime New York guests establish roots throughout the region, we’re growing alongside them, bringing our modern Italian neighborhood restaurant, built for regulars and shaped by a balance of approachability and sophistication, to the places they now call home.”

Established in 2007 on the Upper East Side, Felice has grown to operate restaurants in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester County and Florida.

Felice Westport is located at 38 Main St. in the bustling area of downtown Westport. As with other eateries in the Felice Restaurants family, Felice Westport has a menu with full of Tuscan-inspired dishes such as Branzino al Cartoccio, veal-ragù fettuccine, baked eggplant parmigiana and Conchiglie al Salmone (shell pasta folded with salmon in a creamy sauce). Felice Westport — just as other restaurants in the group — focuses on providing wine and spirits that include “hand-selected Tuscan bottles, small-production organic and biodynamic labels, and a thoughtfully crafted cocktail selection,” according to a news release.

The restaurant also boasts exposed beams, sculptural lighting and warm ambient lighting in addition to an oversized mural inspired by the Italian landscape and backlit wine displays…
