On Friday, Feb. 27, the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) hosted a Change of Responsibility Ceremony at the Division Headquarters at Fort Campbell. Command Sgt. Maj. Charles D. Walker relinquished responsibility of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) to Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher C. Goodart. The change of responsibility ceremony is a military tradition where the outgoing senior enlisted leader relinquishes responsibility by symbolically passing the unit’s colors to the presiding officer, who then hands the colors to the incoming senior enlisted leader.
