Jury deliberating fate of Robeson Co. man accused of murder

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — A jury started deliberations Monday afternoon in the trial of a 39-year-old Daniel Richard Cummings in the death of Nakoma Deshane Jacobs, 26, in the Red Springs community in August of 2016, according to court officials.

Officials said Cummings is charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery, discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Deputies said they responded to a home on Bryant Road and found Jacobs lying on the ground at the bottom step of the back door with a gunshot wound to the chest…
