Axton man arrested in N.C. in connection to Martinsville restaurant shooting

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) – North Carolina State Highway Patrol arrested a man from Axton who’s accused of firing his gun during a fight at a Martinsville restaurant early Saturday, March 1, 2026, according to the Martinsville Police Department.

At 1:39 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of “a fight in progress” at a restaurant called Wild Magnolia in the 700 block of E. Church St. As officers were on their way, it was reported that shots had been fired inside, said Martinsville PD.
