ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A 27-year-old Rockingham County man was charged with felony child abduction after deputies located a missing juvenile from Memphis, Tennessee inside his home, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Dakota Wayne Vettor, of Stoneville, was taken into custody without bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on March 10 at 8:55 a.m.
The juvenile was reported missing Sunday by her parents to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Rockingham County deputies located her Monday at Vettor’s home. She was questioned and placed in the custody of the Rockingham County Department of Social Services until her parents could retrieve her, authorities said…
