On Sunday, March 1, 2026, deputies from Delta Station and the Marine Patrol responded to an emergency at the Discovery Bay Marina launch ramp in Contra Costa County. A jet-ski carrying three people flipped near the boat launch area. Two adults swam to a nearby dock, but a third person, who could not swim and was not wearing a life jacket, went under the water.
Rescue teams from the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and the U.S. Coast Guard searched for about two hours before locating and recovering the missing person. The Sheriff’s Office Dive Team assisted in the recovery. The…..
