Former Huntsville officer appeals firing after DUI arrest, disputes BAC tests

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A former Huntsville police officer fired following a DUI arrest last year filed an administrative appeal Monday in Madison County Circuit Court, seeking to overturn the city’s decision to terminate his employment.

His attorney tells FOX54 that his client was not intoxicated and disputes the Blood Alcohol Test results in the investigation.

In February, the Huntsville City Council voted to sustain the dismissal of Scott Hartman, 35, who was terminated from the Huntsville Police Department three months after his arrest in September.
