TVA board chairman resigns, SEC filing says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Valley Authority board chairman has resigned, marking the latest development in what has been a turbulent year for the board.

According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated March 2, Bill Renick, of Ashland, Mississippi, resigned as a member of the TVA’s Board of Directors on Feb. 24.

Renick, who joined the board in 2023, assumed the role of Board Chair last April after President Donald Trump dismissed Joe Ritch from the board. Ritch was one of three board members to be fired last year, along with Michelle Moore and Beth Geer…
