MNPD: Person dead after shooting reported in North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Homicide units are investigating after a shooting victim was discovered inside a vehicle in North Nashville Sunday evening, officials said.

According to Metro Nashville dispatch, the incident was called in at approximately 6:52 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, from the intersection of Buchanan Street and Ed Temple Boulevard.

1 injured in knife attack in downtown Nashville

The Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 that officers responded to the intersection and spotted a vehicle that had crashed into a tree near the shooting scene. A male with gunshot wounds was reportedly found inside the vehicle.

According to authorities, the victim was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where personnel said he didn’t survive.
