Longs man gets 10 years for cocaine, heroin charges

A Longs man has been sentenced to a decade in prison for selling drugs.

Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said Gerald Steele, 49, of Longs, pleaded guilty to cocaine and heroin charges and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Steele pleaded guilty to second-offense trafficking cocaine and second-offense possession with intent to distribute heroin, said Joshua Holford, the senior assistant solicitor who prosecuted the case for the solicitor’s office…
