Sales rep for The Villages found passed out after winning performance award

A sales representative for The Villages was found passed out in her vehicle after winning a performance award earlier in the evening at Brownwood.

Jordyn Rottermond, 32, who works for Properties of The Villages, was found slumped over the wheel of a white Jeep SUV at about 2 a.m. Saturday in a ditch on State Road 44 west of Wildwood, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy banged on the vehicle’s window multiple times and shined a flashlight on Rottermond before she finally woke up. She had difficulty exiting the vehicle and initially denied she’d had anything to drink.

She said she had been at a “work ceremony” at Brownwood. She said she had been presented with an award at the event. The deputy again asked Rottermond if she’d been drinking. When she admitted she’d been drinking, the deputy asked her how many drinks she had consumed.

“I do not have like a number .. I do not know,” she told him…
