Trailer Daddy, a retro trailer park-inspired concept, opens in downtown St. Pete this week

Downtown St. Pete is about to get a little louder, a little weirder, and a whole lot more fun. Trailer Daddy, a retro, trailer-park-inspired bar concept, is officially opening its doors at 217 Central Avenue on March 6, transforming the former Glamper space into what’s best described as a never-ending backyard summer barbecue with more neon signs and fewer rules.

Built around retro campers, gritty Americana details, and mass amounts of lawn flamingos, Trailer Daddy playfully blends the energy of a campground bar with the spectacle of a roadside attraction. Imagine hot grills, cold cans, and laundry drying on a line, where it’s easy to grab another drink and lose track of time.

Behind the concept is the same team responsible for other popular St. Pete destinations like Good Night John Boy, Welcome to the Farm, My Rich Uncle, HI 5, and Tony D’s Sub Shop. “St. Pete is creative, it’s growing, and it welcomes concepts that bring personality to the table,” says Bobby Rutter of Forward Hospitality Group. “We’re excited to bring something new and unexpected.”…
