SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in the Mission Bay Park area, authorities said.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision happened around 2:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 2000 block of West Mission Bay Drive, which is located near SeaWorld San Diego.
Investigators say a male pedestrian of unknown age was in the roadway when he was struck by a a silver vehicle traveling southbound on West Mission Bay Drive. The driver reportedly fled the scene, continuing southbound after the collision.

Shortly afterward, a 28-year-old man who was also driving a vehicle southbound on West Mission Bay Drive ran over the pedestrian, who was already down in the roadway. That driver stopped and remained at the scene. Police said driving under the influence was not a factor in the incident…
