VIDEO: Northern Kentucky’s Fourth Street Bridge demolished with explosives

COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) – Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati residents may have heard a large boom as the Fourth Street Bridge imploded into the Licking River Monday morning.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Newport Mayor Tom Guidugli Jr. and Covington Mayor Ron Washington detonated the explosives set up on the bridge at 10:01 a.m., making way for a new and improved bridge.
