DPS: 72-year-old Corpus Christi man killed in head-on crash

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 72-year-old Corpus Christi man was killed last Friday morning in a head-on crash in Live Oak County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS Public Information Officer Sgt. Rob Mallory said the crash happened around 8:48 a.m. Friday on FM 624, just east of County Road 163.

Mallory said a 2019 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on FM 624 when it failed to maintain a single lane and crossed into the eastbound lane. The pickup struck a 2020 Dodge Ram head-on, causing the Ram to roll onto its side off the roadway…
