JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A Broadmoor homeowner grows frustrated watching a burned structure decline at a busy intersection in her neighborhood. Residents have petitioned the city for years about the appearance, which is affecting their property values.
“The roof is starting to cave in a lot,” said Elizabeth Steadham, pointing to the collapsing house at Broadmoor Drive and Manhattan Road. “Things falling through the cracks with the city, but it’s what it feels like.”
For more than two years, Steadham has watched the burned house behind hers continue to fall into decay. It’s an eyesore that she and others want the city to address.
