Occupy Madison — a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the homeless population in Dane County — launched a free store at 201 S. Stoughton Road, 2-5 p.m. on Feb. 28. The organization spent the beginning of the year collecting donations and has the store well-stocked with clothes, personal hygiene products and more.
The store will be open Mondays and Thursdays 3-7 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m., providing resources for community members who are or recently were homeless. All items in the store are free. Occupy Madison asks that customers only take what they need.
