Hackenmueller’s Meat Market Raises Thousands of Dollars for Those in Need

Hackenmueller’s Meat Market in downtown Robbinsdale is giving back to the community that keeps it going. So far, community donations have raised more than $3,400 to buy groceries for those in need.

The system is simple — cashiers ask customers if they’d like to add $5, $10 or $20 to their purchase. If customers choose to donate, that money goes to an organization that shops for those who need it.

Ande St. Michael took over the business last April with co-owner Dustan Posch. He said he wanted to continue to make the business a place that takes care of its neighbors…
