HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — The woman and man killed in an murder-suicide at Brookwood Hospital’s Women’s Medical Center Sunday night were identified by the coroner Monday morning.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed 24-year-old Precious Elicia J’anae Johnson was shot multiple times while at the medical center around 9:21 p.m. 19-year-old Kynath William Terry Jr. died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound a minute later.

No one else at the hospital was injured.
Hospital spokesman David McKinney released the following statement in response to the shooting: “An incident occurred at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital Sunday evening. Homewood police immediately responded and secured the scene. Out of an abundance of caution, the hospital remains in lockdown but there is no active threat to patients, team members or the public. Baptist Health is cooperating fully with authorities investigating the incident.”…
