City of Trussville Names New Police Chief

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WBMA) — The City of Trussville has selected Dave Morrette as its next Chief of Police, Mayor Ben Short announced.

Morrette, who has served with the Trussville Police Department for more than 25 years, most recently as Deputy Chief and Acting Chief, will assume the position immediately. He has held a range of roles within the department, including Police Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Officer, overseeing divisions such as Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Traffic, K9, and School Resource Officers.
