Local Rotary Club distributes overdose rescue kits

EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Rotary Club of Columbia County has received a $5,000 subgrant to distribute life-saving Narcan overdose reversal kits to agencies across the CSRA.

The grant is administered by Rotary District 6910 and funds projects aligned with the trust’s mission to reduce opioid-related impacts in Georgia.

Sen. Jon Ossoff is demanding answers about reports of ongoing problems affecting veteran care in Augusta.

With the funds, club members have assembled single-use kits, with one dose of Narcan nasal mist and instructions for use, and made them available to more than 118 local agencies that serve vulnerable populations…
