DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) — Traffic safety concerns will finally get addressed on Daniel Island with the approval of a new roundabout.
Berkeley County and the City of Charleston are moving forward with plans to replace the traffic signals at River Landing and Seven Farms Drives with a new roundabout, part of a broader effort to reduce crashes across the Lowcountry.
The project is getting its final bit of funding through the federal “Safe Streets and Roads for All” grant, a program focused on reducing serious and fatal crashes. The new roundabout will be one of five proposed or under construction across Berkeley and Charleston Counties.
