COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Tuesday will be the “coolest” day of the workweek, yet it’s still running above average in most cases.
Morning clouds Tuesday will slowly mix with more sun as the day progresses. It turns mostly sunny by mid to late afternoon, sooner in spots. A wedge of cooler air coming down from the Appalachian Mountains gives us some variety in temperatures during the afternoon. While the coolest air will be across northeast Georgia, highs may stay in the mid to upper 60s in places like Thomaston and LaGrange, low 70s near Auburn, Columbus and Butler with a better chance of mid and perhaps some upper 70s farther southwest near Fort Gaines and Eufaula.
Partly cloudy Tuesday night. Lows early Wednesday will be in the low to mid 50s with some areas of fog possible…
