FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The quarterly Neighborhood Presidents meeting took place on Monday night, where neighborhood leaders from all over the city attended.
Each meeting welcomes different guest speakers. Monday’s included topics like historic preservation and its economic impact, rezoning changes, how to learn more about neighborhood grants, and feedback on the 2026-2030 consolidated plan.
“What we’ve really tried to do is make sure we’re getting feedback from the neighborhood presidents about things that matter to them, things they’re interested in learning about, programs, initiatives that they want to maybe learn more about, and share with their neighborhood residents,” Dan Baisden, Department Head for the City of Fort Wayne Department of Neighborhoods, said. “So that’s why we really focus on after each meeting, you’re having conversations with presidents saying, what did you find most beneficial for the meeting? Things you’d like to see improved, and we try to evaluate and adjust where we can.”…
