Lexington Rescue Mission reentry program marks milestone after helping 147 people in 2025

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Lexington Rescue Mission’s reentry program is marking a milestone after helping 147 people transition back into society in 2025.

The program, which has served several counties for more than a decade, works to connect formerly incarcerated people with employment, housing, and mental health services.

According to the ACLU, about 650,000 U.S. inmates return to their communities from prison each year, and about half will return to prison within a few years.
