RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — A Randall County man was arrested Saturday night after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance and later called in the SWAT team when the suspect barricaded himself inside a home.
Deputies with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched around 9:15 p.m. Feb. 28 to 1115 Prescott after receiving a third-party report of a domestic disturbance. While en route, deputies were notified of a 911 hang-up call indicating a possible assault at the same address.
When deputies arrived, they made contact with the victim of an assault. As one deputy spoke with the victim, others searched the residence for the suspect. Authorities said the suspect was not initially located, and deputies were aware of multiple abandoned houses in the surrounding area.
