DALLAS — Rudy’s Chicken in Oak Cliff has been serving Dallasites for decades, and its customers returned the favor Saturday, the restaurant’s final day, by lining up for hours to get a final taste of the iconic chicken.
The restaurant closed on Feb. 28, due to Rudy’s owner, Rudolph Edwards, being in poor health, an employee told WFAA. The week before the restaurant’s closure already brought the business hour-long lines, which only lengthened on Sunday. This time, they had a DJ on location to entertain the masses of people in line.
A mother-daughter duo waited for over three hours to get their chicken. They made the most of their time, though, ordering about 40 pieces for meals later in the week…
