Shreveport, Louisiana – Drivers along I-20 and I-49 should prepare for rapidly changing conditions by midafternoon Wednesday as strong to severe thunderstorms develop across the ArkLaTex, bringing the threat of damaging winds, large hail and torrential rainfall.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, storms are expected to intensify Wednesday afternoon, especially across northwest Louisiana, northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas. The primary hazards include wind gusts up to 60 mph, hail up to quarter size or larger and locally heavy rainfall capable of overwhelming drainage systems in a short period of time…
