Fur Rondy history made: Buddy Streeper takes home 11th Open World Championship Sled Dog Race win

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Blayne “Buddy” Streeper took home the 2026 Fur Rendezvous Open World Championship Sled Dog Race title Sunday for the 11th time, breaking a tie for the most wins in the race’s long and illustrious history.

“It takes a lifetime,” Streeper said after crossing the line victorious. “I take a lot of pride in what we just did here. I’m real proud of our performance.”
