$7.3M Packard Street improvement project in Ann Arbor includes buffered bike lanes

ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor is getting ready to move forward with several months of construction to improve Packard Street between Main and State streets, including improving bike lanes and crosswalks with safety in mind.

City Council voted 9-0 Monday night, March 2, to approve a cost-sharing agreement with the Michigan Department of Transportation to tap into nearly $634,000 in federal funds and to appropriate $2.5 million from the city’s street, bridge and sidewalk millage, major street fund and stormwater fund.
