East Cobb church targets unity, growth with $55M expansion project

East Cobb’s Johnson Ferry Baptist Church is looking to expand its campus by building a new $55 million worship center to help increase seating capacity.

With a congregation of over 5,500 members, the church currently houses a sanctuary able to hold 1,200 congregants, along with an activities center that holds approximately 1,600. The proposed worship center will be able to seat 2,500, according to the church’s website.
