HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. — The Level Up 31 project will soon move into a new phase.
The Indiana Department of Transportation said phase two includes ramp and lane closures, detours and local road restrictions.
Some components of the project are already in place:
- Full-time inside shoulder closure and intermittent stoppages on I-465 eastbound and westbound from Spring Mill Road to College Avenue and Meridian Street northbound and southbound at the interchange
- New traffic pattern at southbound U.S. 31 at the I-465 ramp and Meridian Street split
- Southbound U.S. 31 reduced to a single lane between 106th Street and the I-465 interchange
Additional changes will go into place in about two weeks:
Sunday, March 15
- Closure of the westbound I-465 ramp to southbound Meridian Street (Exit 31)
Monday, March 16
- Closure of eastbound 106th Street underneath U.S. 31
