COCKEYSVILLE, MD—Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland and the Baltimore County Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for intentionally setting a fire inside a local business last month.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on February 21, 2026, at the Dick’s Sporting Goods located at 118 Shawan Road. Authorities state that the suspect entered the store and intentionally set fire to a clothing rack before fleeing the scene.
Suspect Details
The surveillance footage captured an image of the suspect, described as a male wearing:
- A light-colored Champion brand hooded sweatshirt.
- Khaki or tan-colored pants.
- A dark-colored beanie or knit cap.
Witnesses reported seeing the individual flee the area in an unknown minivan, traveling in the direction of McCormick Road.
