ZANESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — Justin A. Alexander will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced to an additional 33 years for his role in a large-scale, statewide prison drug smuggling and money laundering operation centered in Zanesville.
On Feb. 12, 2026, Alexander and co-defendant Norman V. Whiteside were found guilty by a Muskingum County jury on multiple felony charges, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, trafficking in drugs, illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility and money laundering.
Alexander was separately convicted of additional counts, including trafficking in methamphetamine and cocaine, conspiracy to manufacture drugs, dozens of money laundering charges and trafficking and possession of Schedule I substances known as “Pinaca” and “Butinaca.”…
