What would improve traffic in Lexington County? County leaders want to hear from you

LEXINGTON, S.C. — If you travel through Lexington County, depending on the time of day or area of the county you’re driving through, your journey can be relatively worry-free or one stalled with congestion.

Lexington County Department of Public Works wants your opinion on what can be done to improve the flow and overall mobility of the transportation system in the county. The county’s Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) is under development and organizers are hosting a series of open house meetings for the public to weigh in on future transportation needs, including guiding transportation priorities and investment decisions throughout Lexington County. 2026 traffic conditions will be summarized and potential 2050 traffic conditions will also be summarized.
