The Erie man accused of killing his daughter during the summer of 2025 will be heading to trial in the fall.
Dieudonne Bwisha, 25, appeared before Erie County Judge Peter Sala for his formal arraignment Monday, with Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz saying prosecutors are pursuing first-degree criminal homicide.

He’s currently facing charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and simple assault; all of which he pleaded not guilty to at his preliminary hearing. Hirz said his trial is scheduled for the November term.
Bwisha was arrested on June 4 for aggravated and simple assault, along with endangering a child, and was charged again in August with criminal homicide and aggravated assault…
