PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man with active warrants in three states, including one for homicide, is behind bars after pulling a gun on Charlotte County deputies during a traffic stop last month.
The confrontation happened on Feb. 20, after CCSO deputies received a tip that two suspects in a Sarasota County burglary were traveling through their jurisdiction.
Just before 3 a.m., a deputy spotted the rental car the two suspects were said to be driving and initiated a traffic stop after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver, 41-year-old Amy Lee, identified herself, but her male passenger refused.
