Oh Yeah: Kool-Aid Scanning Scheme Leads to Retail Theft Charges

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A Corsica man is facing a misdemeanor charge after state police alleged he repeatedly under-scanned merchandise at a local Walmart by using Kool-Aid packets to hide more expensive items.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Trooper Allison Swanchak of the Pennsylvania State Police Clarion barracks, 41-year-old Byron Henry Kifer is charged with one count of retail theft by under-ringing, a first-degree misdemeanor.
