LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — The family of 5-year-old Malia Croley said she is out of surgery after receiving a heart transplant, according to a social media post shared Tuesday.
The family said the operation lasted about 14 hours and that she was “done” and out of surgery. They thanked the surgical team, hospital nurses and the donor’s family, calling the donation a gift that gave their daughter a chance at life.
