Suspect on the loose after man stabbed in neck at Knoxville motel: police

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The suspect in a Knoxville stabbing is on the run after the victim refused to cooperate with the officers investigating the crime, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

The stabbing happened around 7 p.m. Monday at the Motel 6 on Merchants Center Boulevard, according to KPD. The department first confirmed the stabbing for WVLT Monday night, releasing more information Tuesday morning.

“Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, who had fled into the woods just south of the Motel 6,” KPD said. “The victim, a 44-year-old man, was suffering from a laceration on his neck. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and he declined transportation to an area hospital.”…
