Marin County is updating the way it inspects and permits on-site septic systems.
On Thursday, the public is invited to a West Marin community meeting to gather public input on how its Local Area Management Program should be applied and improved.
Septic systems serve much of West Marin, where many properties are not connected to sewer lines. The underground systems treat wastewater on-site through tanks, pipes and treatment units.
