TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A community memorial service is expected to be held Thursday in Tallahassee to honor the Reverend Jesse Jackson, a prominent civil rights leader who died two weeks ago at the age of 84.
Church, community and elected leaders, along with civic organizations, will gather “to pay tribute to one of the longest serving and most impactful Civil Rights voices spanning six decades,” according to Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor.
